1. Can a 17-year-old apply for a Voter ID?
Yes! Under the new rules, 17-year-olds can apply in advance using Form 6. However, your card will only be generated and issued once you officially turn 18.
2. What is the qualifying date?
Previously, Jan 1st was the only qualifying date. Now, there are four qualifying dates: Jan 1st, April 1st, July 1st, and October 1st. If you turn 18 on any of these dates, you become eligible.
